The Plan - No Cheating......

How We will do It

1. We will begin each day around 7am (planning 10 hour days) and end at 5pm or there about.

2. Each day we will go approximately 30-35 miles. If we are not in the city where our lodging is located, we will stop at 35 miles and drive to our lodging location for the night

3. In the morning we will drive back to our previous days stopping point and begin the days' run.

NOTE: I made errors in the estimated mileage between a couple of resting points (Ithaca & St Louis for example.) I will continue on and thru the stopping point to obtain the estimated mileage for the day; we will drive back for our nightly lodging.

So if you see me in our support vehicle it is because we reached our daily estimated mileage

Gj will not cheat :)

"The question for each man to settle is not what he would do if he had means, time, influence and educational advantages; the question is what he will do with the things he has. The moment a young man ceases to dream or to bemoan his lack of opportunities and resolutely looks his conditions in the face, and resolves to change them, he lays the corner-stone of a solid and honorable success." Very interesting GJ. I plan to bookmark your blog and follow along. I was born & raised near Battle Creek and we have a family cabin in the U.P. that we visit regularly.

I wonder if the RD's will route you along similar lines as the DALMAC goes? I'll be interested in seeing the route. I know that the bridge is at the 339 mile post and with you taking roads other than expressways, you'll travel farther.

Here's wishing you the best!!!

Raymond - Thanks for posting. This endeavor of Love will most certainly be a challenge, one which I am looking forward to with great excitement and hope for my “Little Buddies” I pray that you'll enjoy our journey. I plan on carrying a laptop so I may update the blog as we travel along. (Just hoping that I find a few motels further north that have or will allow me access).

The mileage, may or may not be a far as 339 miles since I75 does take a few jogs along the way; if the distance is more, then so be it. The initial map "appears” to be a more straight shot (here's hoping anyway :) I'll post the link to the map shortly.
Welcome aboard!

Wow! Looking forward to helping you train (at least 10 miles at a time) on some weekend runs. Also looking forward to getting the word out for support.

Keep up the good work.
God bless!

Hello there,
I just learned about your run from Mickey, Cody's dad. I am Lucas, dad of Santi, another NB patient/fighter, he also fights against Cystic Fibrosis.
I want to thank you for all you do for the Band of Parents.
I am running the full NYC marathon this coming Nov 2, it is hard to train for 26.2 miles, I cannot imagine for 330! I run the half in June and it was an amazing experience.
We'll keep you, and your family in our prayers, thank your son for his service to the country, as well.
Hope!
Lucas
